The branding of the Van Gogh Museum

When I worked at Museum Het Dolhuys we had an Exhibition about Vincent van Gogh. The question that the Exhibition tried to address was whether he was a genius or a madmen.  We could not give a straight answer because that is not really possible on hindsight. What we did do was, research what all the experts were saying or had said about his mental state and we exhibited their conclusions. That is why we also did do some research on the Image of Van Gogh among the general public of …

Life is pointless

A small booklet about life, inspired by my meditation practice and life. On a website someone said that life is pointless. I agree but I am not a cynic and I love life. Zen Posters

I meditate on and off for about 10 years now. The last 3 years almost daily with an occasional break when I am on vacation. Meditation keeps me more focused, calm, open minded and more in tune with my own emotions and needs. I am not into any specific tradition but most literature I have read are from Zen masters. So I was curious how the election of the successor of Benedict would feel to me. It was, for me, actually more exciting then the first time. The smoke was white as the beard of Santa Clause. It was evening and the lights of  the …

What’s up with that?

I always find the question ‘What’s up?’ strange. Since I am not a native English speaker I wonder ‘Up where?’. So I almost think of things that are looking up. Well a dirty mind is a joy forever the say, so in a split second there are some body parts than can look up as well. And everybody knows what Bugs Bunny’s most famous opening sentence is. Combining those two I came up with this advertisment for a famous blue pill. I am not going to mention the name of …
