MVI update video

For Stichting Rijk I made, together with my friend Jorrit, a video about sustainable procurement. That is called MVI in Dutch. In this video experts of RIJK explain what kind of possibilities there are for sustainable procurement for the Dutch Municipalities. My friend Jorrit manned the camera, I did the interviews and production. Together we edited the video to make an interesting and entertaining story. You can watch the video here below.

Dolfinarium Slides

Dolfinarium is Europe’s largest marine mammal park. They asked me to make a 3d illustration to promote their new water slides. I modeled their new water slides and tried several perspectives to capture the full size. This proved to be tricky, the water slides of Dolfinarium are huge, and have pretty complex shapes. I eventually settled for an isometric perspective.  With an isometric perspective the things in front are as large as the things in the back. This perspective is often used to make maps, especially of theme parks, museums …

Sky Dive Albert Heijn

One of the other visuals I made for Albert Heijn was called Skydive. This was made for an invoicing project within their organisation. This image had to convey to take a leap of faith in the new project. In the image a cartoon figure jumps out of an airplane followed by big number of papers with euro signs on it. The character has a hand scanner in her hand pointing at the viewer.

Shrink Albert Heijn

I have made a few visuals for Albert Heijn for an internal presentation. This visual addresses the so called Shrinkage. Shrinkage means inventory loss. This loss can happen due to theft but also due to Shelf life or expiration date. Simply said, Shrink costs Money. So this visual shows that Shrink means throwing money away. In this visual standard Albert Heijn Packaging is used. The product being sold is “Fresh Money”. This money is past its expiration date so a discount sticker is put on the packaging.

KOOLE contractors

I have done some work for a big Dutch Salvage company called KOOLE contractors. Most work I did was for their international Maritime Salvage branch. Which means they clean up shipwrecks around the world. The size of the machines they use is impressive. My main job was to visualize and animate their new and innovative concepts. The owner of the company mr. Koole is very keen on developing innovative but ‘cheap’ solutions for difficult Salvage problems. So I can not show all my work I made for them yet. Some are still in development. But I can show you the animation down below that I made. This is one of the solutions proposed by KOOLE to remove containers from the North Sea Seabed that are accidentally dropped their.

Procurement land, Dutch Government

I made a map (in Dutch) of procurement land (Inkoopland). This was commissioned by a collaboration of government agencies. The aim for this map is to give people who work within the Dutch municipalities more insight in the procurement lexicon. It also serves as a way to get people signed up for a procurement course. The design is a like a page in an atlas where different highlights of a land are shown. Every city and place has some link with the procurement lexicon. The maps was printed on an …

Klimaatgesprekken Flyer and Banner

For the Dutch Branch of Carbon Conversations (Klimaatgesprekken) I designed a banner and a flyer. The idea is to show real people who do their best to lower their carbon impact. Different examples are presented, like driving an electric vehicle or going on a holiday locally.  The pictures are presented like small puzzle pieces. We are all small pieces in the puzzle of lowering our climate impact. On the flyer there is a call to action ‘Discover the workshops’.

Rijk Magazine

For Stichting RIJK I developed and designed the concept of this Corporate Magazine. Stichting RIJK is a purchase organisation for several municipalities in the Netherlands. Stichting RIJK wanted to show their stakeholders what their added value is. We choose to make a magazine with a relevant theme. This theme is Sustainable Public Procurement (in Dutch: Maatschappelijk Verantwoord Inkopen). This magazine has circulation of 1000 and is spread among the relevant persons within the municipalities of Stichting Rijk. The magazine is eco-printed certificatied which means it is printed in the most …

Brand Style Guide ‘Klimaatgesprekken’

For the Dutch Carbon Conversations I made this Brand Style Guide. I already did some work for them but their branding was kind of all over the place. This made it harder for me to work for them. So I took the initiative to make a brand guide for them. A brand guide consists of at least six elements: The Story, The Logo, The Colours, Typography,  Images and tone of voice. We discussed all these items and made a comprehensive Brand Style Guide which you can download and read by …

Klimaatgesprekken Flyer

This is a flyer I designed for the Dutch Carbon Conversations.  This cartoon styled figure wants to have a lower impact on the climate and doubts what is the better choice: Chicken or Cheese? While cheese is the vegetarian choice, chicken has way less impact on the climate then cheese. Cows produce a lot of methane and use a lot of water. Chickens are very efficient in turning their food into meat. The character is rendered in a 3d engine. I modelled the cheese and the chicken. The character was …
